!Aya Sofya! (ok, we're not in Spain, I get it...)

Ah, lovely mosaics...and a cat? They are everywhere here. Meow!

Glorious grandeur. I'm not sure what to say about it, only that I wish I was better with a camera. :)
Incredible marble mosaics, too!

The sultan's loge...

My favorite picture of Hagia Sofia--I got there just as it opened, so it wasn't crowded immediately.

This is the color it really is on the inside--very dark, of course, and rich. I especially love the walls, instead of the ceiling. It is a giant patchwork of marble beauty, all the way around. Totally amazing.

Incredible detail...

This is the clearest shot I could get. Tripods aren't for me...but I really wished right then that I had one. I know, Kirtie. I know! :(

Tropical, not tropical, exotic, and classic. There it is from the outside. I will have to find a picture when the fountain is going. I am sure I have one! If not, I definitely have one of the Blue Mosque (still to come...) with the beautiful fountain.
